Carnac
This is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world and was a prehistoric capital. The famous megalithic standing stones (Menhirs), which number over 3000, were erected over 4000 years ago.
Quiberon lies at the tip of the peninsula and is a popular resort . The peninsula has some of Brittany’s best sandy beaches in stark contrast to a wild northerly shore.
