Clohars-Carnoet

Clohars Carnoet town hall and market square again, but I’ve enlarged it a bit here to show the road to Doelan more clearly.

The turning is right alongside the Mairee before the Church.

The market square is in front of the Mairee and runs from the Church and the Pharmacy - just off picture to the left.

Saturday is market day.

Here you can see the finger poster for Doelan. It’s easy to miss because there is also a roundabout at the Church. 1st right Guidel, 2nd Quimperle, 3rd for Moelan sur Mer,
Pont Aven and beyond.

Apart from market day, you can usually find free parking around the Church.

Be careful! The blue lined bays require a parking disk you can buy in some shops or filling stations.

There is an ATM opposite the junction where you can draw cash. Your bank will charge you about £1.50-£1.75 commission on €100. There are two boulangeries and the Shopi along this road.

Travelling away from the roundabout, this road will take you down into Le Pouldu.

Clohars-Carnoet & Guidel

Guidel

Guidel town square. The light just wasn’t right for a good shot of the Church square.
I’ll try again next visit.

It is awkward, because all the traffic goes round the Church, and it is also the main parking area.

Guidel is bigger and busier than Clohars-Carnoet and boasts a Super-U supermarket as well as a Shopi in the town square.

There are several cash machines and banks, and most other shops you might need .

You will sign these nice touches in many of the towns and villages.

OK, you see them in the UK too, but not so often.

Clohars Carnoet and Guidel are the two nearest towns to Le Pouldu and Camping du Quinquis.  Both have boulangeries, pharmacies and banks, and both have Shopis, which are well stocked and reasonably priced.  Guidel also has a Super-U hypermarket and petrol station. So, you do not have to travel very far at all unless you want to.

Spirulina is even fed to ornamental fish as it improves their colours!
