Posmoric Port

Posmoric Port is a secluded harbour with a landing stage, beach and car park.

This is taken from the car park, and you’ll see from these photos just what a tiny area Posmoric Port is. There is only one seat, and Gerry’s claimed it!

The couple below with their dog were waiting for one of the little boats in this picture to come and pick them up.

Posmoric Port may be small, but there’s much to watch from here, mainly river activity.

The occasional walker stops on their way along the riverside path, and you may see one or two boat owners row out and set off or come back.

We walked to Posmoric Port from Saint Maurice Abbey.

It’s not a lot farther to Pouldu, but it was very hot that day, and we decided the walk back would be enough!

Posmoric Port is a quiet spot, but this stretch of the river sees a lot of activity with canoes from Guidel Plage and even as far as Quimperle.

There were three of the red row boats you can see near the farther bank of La Laita river.

I think they do adventure holidays somewhere in the locality.

It looked hard work! Thankfully,
I was just reading my book and watching what was going on.

The bottom picture was taken looking down river to Pouldu Harbour.

In fact, you can just about make out the white walls and grey roof of Hotel Pouldu above the end of the line of boats.
