Pouldu Harbour Looking Upriver

This picture shows passengers boarding the ferry to cross La Laita estuary to Guidel Plage.

This is a beautiful wide estuary, especially If you enjoy watching the boats come and go.

The cluster of boats you can in the distance are at Posmoric Port.

The second picture  was taken on a grey overcast day - well, we couldn’t pretend the sun always shines!

Fom Pouldu Harbour you look across to Guidel Plage.

These two pictures show Guidel Plage from Pouldu Harbour. You can just see pony riding on the beach in the telephoto shot.

Hotel Pouldu, Pouldu Harbour

Looks like the same architect as the Ar Men!

There’s an excellent fish menu with a choice of €16, €26 or €31 menus and a la carte. Be warned, the cheapest wine is around €14.

The food is absolutely excellent!
If you enjoy prawns then you simply must have their Gambas.

I’ve been told that seafood meals of this quality - if you could get them - would cost three times as much in the UK.

The dark building on the right of the picture is the back of another bar which has a terrace overlooking the estuary.

They do very good bar snacks during the day, but I ‘m told things are very different there at night.

There is a car park just before the hotel, and you can sometimes park on the quayside.
